1950's Slang Throwback Thursdays: Word Of The Day

Watching a lot of Golden Age Hollywood movies, I am always amazed at the slang that was used back then and how it really put a stamp of uniqueness on America during this time period. The words were so clever that you didn't hear most people using profanity, they just used some hip and cool slang words to effectively get their point across.

So in the initiation of 1950's Slang Throwback as part of your regular Thursday post, I will be educating you wonderful readers out there on some of the well known and lesser known slang words or phrases and their meanings so let's cut a rug and get to it!

"AGITATE THE GRAVEL"
meaning: LEAVE

"Man let's go agitate the gravel, I got a curfew."
